DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Cover the US Treasury, TIPS, and Agencies/SSA market on JPMC's US Fixed Income Strategy team. Responsible for being a subject matter expert in these markets for our clients and internal partners in sales and trading. Develop macro trading themes along the US rates term structure, as well as micro relative value trade ideas. Responsible for developing issuance forecasts for the US Treasury and Agencies markets. Utilize the demand for government bonds, and the knowledge of supply dynamics, to understand the direction of travel for US yields. Create the JPMC US Fixed Income Markets Weekly publication. Articulate and discuss these views with JPMC’s largest clients, helping drive market share with asset managers, hedge funds, banks, central banks, insurance companies and pension funds.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: 3 or 4 year Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Sr Research Analyst, Investor Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires 2 years of experience with: forecasting federal budget deficit and US Treasury issuance. This position requires experience with the following: U.S Federal Reserve monetary policy framework and reaction function; US fiscal policy; developed market central bank policy; fixed income asset classes, including US government bonds, mortgage-backed securities and corporate bonds; identifying both macro and micro trading themes in the US Treasury market; and global monetary policy and capital flows.
Job Location: 383 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10179. This position requires up to 10% travel (domestic and international). Telecommuting permitted up to 20% of the week.
Full-Time. Salary: $210,000 - $285,000 per year.
